Eddie and Sophie
I've wanted to include photos of Austin's siblings for quite some time now, but I was a little nervous about doing so. But then I decided that God would want me to share this miracle He performed in my life in even bigger ways than I already do, so I thought I would share. This is Eddie and Sophie, Austin's older twin brother and sister. They live many states away, but we hear from them often. This is an older photo of them to show what they looked like at Austin's current age. They will be five in February. They are all starting to look so similar! Such precious little faces. I talk with their Mom fairly often through Facebook and emails, and we share photos and videos of the kids so they can familiarize themselves with each other. All three know the story of each other, and we hope to meet them in person in the next couple of years. Isn't it amazing?! We have been so blessed and we are so thankful to this family for the donation of their remaining embryos!
While the struggle to have children has been so difficult for us, and a story most might keep very private, I made a promise as I prayed that through our story I would share my faith with others, and try to help other women who also experienced this difficult journey. And God has allowed me to do this in many ways. While I would not have chosen this path, I am thankful for God's promises. He never promised us an easy life, but I know He will be with me every step of the way. And I am so thankful.
"Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, 'The Lord is my portion, therefore I will wait for him.' The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quitely for the salvation of the Lord." Lamentations 3:22-26
