Can you believe it? It's only.....
How exciting! Ok, all I have to do is wrap things up and I'll be ready to go. Oh, I do have one more gift to get and maybe a few more stocking stuffers. Whew! It's been a little tougher this year having a little one to take care of AND get all of my Christmas duties done. I'm so amazed at all of you moms out there that have 2, 3, 4+ kiddos. How do you get everything done! I guess it might just be my time of adjustment to this new thing called motherhood. Tomorrow I'll be making my favorite family Christmas treat....Grandma Lackey's Gingersnaps. As Rachel Ray would say...."Yummo!" I love the fact that not everyone makes this cookie and her recipe makes the best tasting, softest cookies. I think I'll give some out as gifts to friends this year. And Paige brought over some "Christmas" pecans last night and gave me that recipe, so I'm thinking I'll make some of those too. Mmmm, sounds good.
Anyway, I took a few pics tonight of what our house looks like this year. Every year I get out my decorations I think, "will anyone see all this work I've done?" and since we've never had little ones, it was always just Big E and me. I'm so glad we finally have a little person to scope out all of the lights! He's too little to really know what's going on, but when we lay him in front of the tree, his little eyes light up, so that makes it all worth while! I can't wait to tell him all about Christmas and why we celebrate. It's Jesus' birthday!
Ok....it's getting late. Pretty soon it will be only 9 days left!
