Feeling better today

Well, after a long night's sleep (nearly 11 hours!) I'm feeling much better today about all that is happening. Maybe I needed the sleep for a very important reason! Only God knows. This whole experience has definitely strengthened my faith, and I know God sends little messages my way as I move through this time.

This is what I read in my devotional before bed last night.

August 30
Provider and Protector

"Walk by faith, not by sight"
2 Corinthians 5:7

These seven little words describe an entire way of life. To operate in faith instead of what we see calls for an inner conviction that God can be trusted to do what He says. When our health is uncertain, He's our Physician. When we're down to our last dime, He's our Provider. When there's no energy, He's our power. When the Enemy surrounds us, He's our Protector.
If we trust God to do what He says, then we have to trust His timing as well. This is hard for us planners. We prefer circumstances, people, and events to work on our timetable. This way we have the illusion we're in control!
God has to remind us all the time: If I'm your Physician, Provider, Power, and Protector...dont you think you can trust Me to be your Planner as well?

Luci Swindoll, Women of Faith Devotional Bible

Of course, we are praying all goes well tomorrow with the next beta, but ultimately, with either outcome, I know we'll be just fine. Thank you so much for all of you who sent such encouraging words yesterday. I read many stories of other women who had experienced my exact situation who ended up delivering happy, healthy babies. One of my friends even told me of a similar story where a friend of hers had a low first beta like mine, and ended up having twins! That same friend reminded me that "God is bigger than beta numbers!" I agree. (Thanks, Jill) Once again, only God knows the outcome.

We are so thankful for all of you,

Taryn & Ernest

There are no words that bring more comfort than His words! Glad He gave you a peace in them. I am praying for the best for you, Ernest, and Baby(ies). Can't wait to see what today's beta number is...though I would completely agree with Jill, God is bigger than bate numbers!
