Well, even though I feel this might be a little premature, I am about to jump out of my skin and can't think straight! I broke down yesterday as I drove home from work and stopped at the store to buy......a hpt. Why is it I feel safer using
acronyms?
acronyms? (That's "home pregnancy test" for those that may not know) Quick side bar: I'm part of a wonderful website called Fertilethoughts.com, and I've met such wonderful ladies there! They have all been such as support to me as we all go through this together. Every lady in our group has had or is having an FET (Frozen Embryo Transfer) in the month of August. So, we keep up with each other's progress and share knowledge with each other, as some ladies have been though all of this several times. All that to say, that's where the acronymns come from. So, back to my story. (sorry, a bit scatterbrained today!)
So last night, after I stopped at the store, I came home and my initial thought was, "wait 'til the morning". But then, my impatient soul replied "Eh, why not just do one of the tests now...you've got 2!". So, at 5:20 last night, I tested. The stick with a "1" is the result. Remember: 2 lines means positive, 1 line means negative. And, they don't have to both be dark lines to be a positive. It was a BFP!!! (big fat positive...yet another acronym from the web) Wow! So exciting! Ok, Taryn, remain calm. Just remain calm.
So then, I thought I would test again in the a.m. since they say that is the best time to test. So, at about 4:20 a.m. I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep. All I could think about was that darn test! So, you guessed it.....the stick marked with a "2" is the 4:20 result.
Can you believe it! I really can't just yet. I'm excited, but I just want the confirmation from my doctor. So keep the prayers comin'! We need to see this thing through to make sure the news remains positive! I'll let you know what I find out tomorrow at the doctor's office. My appointment is at 9 a.m.
Hoping and praying it's really true!
Taryn

This page of instructions for registering is in Spanish! I guess since we live in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, and we access the Internet through our Mexican Cable TV, Cybermatsa, it thinks that I speak Spanish. No hablo mucho, but I think I got it!
Anyway, we are very excited for you and Ernie. (I guess that we will have to start calling him Ernest now that he is going to be a father.) We loved the pictures of your tests. All of this is wonderful progress in medical technology.
I am so happy for you guys! Yippee!
I have been dying for Thursday to get here...so glad you CHEATED because I too was having trouble waiting another day.
